Close To My Heart

Thus Says The LORD,

My death on the cross brought righteousness to all,
Removed the stain of sin caused by the fall.

I created you to be with Me through eternity,
Though sin stands to keep all distant from Me.

My sacrifice for you was achieved by My love,
A love so deep I came down from above.

To forgive all sin and unrighteous within,
For salvation for all to begin.

Sin brings death with judgement to hell,
Though I send My Word of love to tell.

The freedom I give to all who will hear,
Of My love and the removal of fear.

That keeps man afraid of the death at hand,
Which leaves a high price on demand.

A price so steep no man can pay,
But in love My body did I lay.

In a tomb for oh but three days,
Then rose up high without delay.

For in My pain I saw you in My eye,
Knowing for you must I die.

That in the end no death or sin,
Will keep you from a victorious win.

As I conquered all that you may live,
For it was My life did I give.

Just believe in faith and receive a new life,
For I stabbed death deep killing it with My knife.

So you can be free and live in peace without fear,
In a life of eternity as I hold you near.

Close to Me where you will never part,
For it was you I hold close to My heart.
